To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Kempen canal Dessel-Schoten a series of public events were organized. People could watch a show on a theater boat, learn kayaking or enjoy a family day out with fun activities for young and old.
In cooperation with the Sports and Culture Department in Schoten I stood for the presentation prints that was used during the various happenings. A series of 10 banners were designed to highlight the sailing tourism which shaped the landscape along the canal through the years. The imagery is collected from the Image Archive and Documentation Center in Schoten which stores old and new pictures of town life and shares it with the public.
The event 'De Vaart verjaart' was a collaboration between the three towns of Dessel, Turnhout and Schoten and lasted between April 24 and October 2, 2016.
