In 2017 a series of retrospective exhibitions displays de monumental work of Hilde Van de Walle in celebration of her 60th birthday. Key sculptures in bronze and composite were selected specifically for this exhibition to demonstrate the evolution in her work. A reoccurring subject in many of her works is the human form sometimes balancing precariously. The form differs between figuration and abstraction which speaks to the imagination of the beholder.
